We know the exacting conditions the components we produce have to perform under from longstanding relationships with our customers. These include extreme pressures and forces, which mean that the components have to be highly resistant to wear, corrosion and/or heat. Therefore, quality assurance plays a pivotal role for us.
Due to the high quality of our products and our dependability as a supplier, customers from industries such as semi-conductors, food technology and environmental technology have called on us for more than 20 years as their key supplier for complex machine components.
Our quality control staff ensure that all the components we produce are of a consistently high quality using dedicated measuring and testing methods. These begin with testing the molding material for our casting molds, followed by continuous process control and, finally, inspecting and documenting the finished products. This guarantees high repeatability in one-off and series production of components that may come in very different geometries and a wide range of alloys.
In our Integrated Management System, all methods, processes, instruments and activities are laid down within a harmonized structure consisting of three parts:
Our materials lab boasts a wide range of analytical equipment:
A stationary x-ray fluorescence (XRF) system for heat sample analysis
Systems for measuring carbon and sulfur contents as well as nitrogen, hydrogen and oxygen contents
A stationary spark spectrometer (OES) for intermediate analyses of heat samples at the furnace
Our non-destructive surface inspection equipment includes various dye penetration testing stations for different sample sizes.
We check the internal quality of components by means of radiographic test methods. Our radiographic test center is equipped specifically for inspecting large components with wall thicknesses of up to 80 mm.
Our range of destructive testing equipment includes a tensile testing machine approved by the Materials Testing Office of the German state of North Rhine-Westphalia, impact testers and further testing systems.
For dimension measurements, we use a coordinate measurement system in addition to a range of conventional testing equipment. The dimensions of large-volume castings are measured with a laser tracker.
The quality control process is documented all the way through and retraceable for every product.
At our customers’ request, we provide test certificates in conformity with DIN EN 10204:
Declarations of compliance with the order (2.1)
Factory certification (2.2)
Inspection certificates (3.1)
Inspection certificates (3.2) that we issue jointly with independent third-party certification bodies at the customer’s request.
